A petitioner urged the Supreme Court on Monday for directives to authorities concerned to apprehend former Sindh Minister for Information and Local Bodies Sharjeel Memon through International Criminal Police Organisation (Interpol). Mehmood Akhtar Naqvi filed a petition in the apex court and made Chief Secretary Sindh, Election Commission of Pakistan respondents in the matter.

The petitioner requested the court to direct the government for auction of Memon's movable and immovable property after confiscation and deposit the amount in the national kitty. Naqvi submitted that Memon has become ineligible under Articles 62 and 63 of the Constitution so his provincial Assembly membership should be cancelled.
